Resume:
Prof. Jianhua Qin is the director of Microfluidics Research Center in Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Qin received M.D. from China Medical University, and Ph.D from Chinese Academy of Sciences, respectively. She did postdoctoral research at Toronto of University in Canada. She worked as visiting professor at the University of Hong Kong. She was the principle investigators for several support fundings from National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), NSFC and Knowledge Innovation Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Qin was the author or co-author of more than 90 peer-reviewed papers, 70 patents and 2 books. Dr. Qin served as the associate editor of Lab on a Chip and editorial board members for other journals. She is the chair/co-chair of delivered 30 invited talks in the international conferences.

Prof. Qin’s group is a highly interdisciplinary team involving the researchers from chemistry, biology, medicine and engineering fields. The group uses both microengineering and nanotechnology to develop in vitro patho-physiologically relevant microsystem capable of investigating cancer biology, brain microenviroment, intelligent biomaterials and regenerative medicine. The goal of our research is to explore the biomedical system under physiological and dysfunctional states and hope to gain new insights into the design of new diagnostic schemes and therapeutic strategies at molecular, cellular and organism levels.
